CBRS to enable a range of new use cases

CBRS services were approved by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in 2015 for shared wireless access. Almost anyone can utilize the spectrum for wireless broadband services, provided that the spectrum in the location is not already being occupied by existing users. A three-tier usage model and Spectrum Access System (SAS) has been implemented to ensure protection from interference and uninterrupted use by incumbent users.

CBRS enables businesses and operators to deploy private LTE and 5G networks for their own uses, instead of relying on Wi-Fi.
